Cycling in Germany
Whether you’re looking to explore the city or get out into the stunning countryside, cycling in Germany is one of the best ways to find your new favourite place. For riverside views and tree-lined paths, the Adenauer Weiher to Kalscheurer Weiher loop to the west of Cologne is a beautiful ride for all levels, while the Schloss Augustusburg to Volksgarten loop is a great route that takes you past the famed UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cycle from Hörde Station to Phoenix West in Dortmund is one of the city’s most picturesque routes that heads towards the impressive Hympendahl Viaduct. In Düsseldorf, head north from the city up the river and cross over at Krefeld-Uerdinger Brücke for a long but easy waterside ride on largely traffic-free streets.
